Locals lambast MLA for using 'abusive words'

Imphal, October 27 2015: Irate locals of Kongpal and other adjoining localities have strongly condemned Khurai AC MLA Ng Bijoy for allegedly scolding and verbally using abusive words against a group of people at his private residence today.

A Kongpal local said that JAC members and locals have been picketing JNIMS OPD demanding immediate opening of Pong Lambi which has been closed by JNIMS authority.

A group of people including JAC members went to the MLA's residence to complain about the closure of the road.

However, instead of paying heed to the people's complaint, the MLA scolded the locals using abusive words, she said.

The woman further said that it was a shame for the MLA for using such uncivilized words against his people.

Later, the irate locals raised slogans against the MLA near his residence.

Ever since JNIMS authority closed Pong Lambi that connects JNIMS complex with Kongpal Kongkham Leikai, people of different localities have been demanding opening of the road.

They have also formed a JAC and launched their agitation of picketing JNIMS OPD from October 25 .
