Awarness programme on mosquito borne diseases

Imphal, August 27 2018: Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) in continuation to an initiative on eliminating Mosquito borne diseases conducted on 23rd August, organised another Awareness program on 27th August at Sawombung Company Operating Base in Imphal East district.

The programme was conducted in conjunction with Malaria Department of Imphal and Francois-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) India Suraksha organization for the locals of Nongada and Lamlai village for eradication of diseases spread by mosquito bites.

A total 56 persons were treated during the Medical Camp and 16 BPL families were provided with free consultation and medication by the Regimental Medical Officer.

The locals thanked the Assam Rifles and other agencies involved and appreciated the interest shown by Assam Rifles toward uplifment of people and assisting them in dealing with such health related issues.
