PHC inaugurated at Makhan, Senapati

Health and Family Welfare Minister, L Jayantakumar Singh said that the welfare schemes of the Government should reach to the people living in the interior places especially hilly regions.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the Primary Health Centre, PHC, Makhan in Senapati District on August 24, Jayantakumar maintained that there are lot many areas to be improved by the Government.
"Due to the State's financial constraints every wish of the Government can not be fulfilled.
But the Government is putting its maximum effort to boost some of the most important sectors including health and education.
Opening of health centres in the interior places especially in hilly areas is at the top priority", he added.

The minister also asserted that since Senapati is a border district, better health care service in this region is a necessity.
"As first initiative of the Health Department, the Community Health Centre (CHC), Senapati has been upgraded to a Sub-Divisional Hospital.
Makhan Primary Health Sub-Centre has also been upgraded to the status of a Primary Health Centre.
The facilities of free diagnostic and free treatment will soon be available at this centre too", he maintained.
He also appealed the concerned authority and staff to propagate awareness about the health schemes and benefits provided by the Government to the people of Senapati.
Regarding the shortage of health staff, he maintained that the Government is already prepared to recruit health staff to fill the vacancies.
Required infrastructures and equipments of the newly inaugurated PHC will also be provided, he added.
The minister also highlighted about the importance and prospects of growing medicinal and aromatic plants.
He said that growing plants of medicinal value will help to generate income of a farmer adding that saplings will also be made available at free of cost to the interested farmers.
Farmers need not to be worried of marketing facility since the Government has already planned in this regard, he added.
Jayantakumar also appealed the public to cooperate with the Government initiatives.
Without public support and cooperation the beautiful schemes of the Govt will remain fruitless, he added.
Speaking as guest of honour, Minister Tribal Affairs & Hills, Fishery N Kayisii said that it is a milestone of Makhan village to have such an upgraded health centre.
He also praised the initiative of the Health Department and Health Minister for extending wisdom and support to the people of Makhan and Senapati.
He also appealed the villagers to take care and maintained the new Primary Health Centre.
CMO Senapati Dr H Loli Mao attended the function as functional president.
The inaugural function was also attended by Joint Secretary Health Rang Peter, Chairman ADC Senapati Kapani, ADC members, village chiefs, hills and student leaders.
