6 NNPGs to join Naga political talks

Dimapur, September 24 2017: The Working Committee (WC) of six other Naga outfits popularly known as "6 Naga National Political Groups or NNPGs" will be holding political negotiation with the Government of India any time from now .

A few days back, New Dehi's interlocutor for Naga peace talks, RN Ravi had disclosed to a Dimapur based newspaper that the latter had 'formally' invited the Working Committee of the 6 Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) "to be part of the peace process." .

Expressing its happiness on the development, Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) said it "now appeals to all concerned to take up the matter with all seriousness and be a part of the process for an honourable solution" .

NTC said that it "is ever grateful to God Jehovah, the God of Nagas, who prepared the mind" of Government of India to invite the Working Committee representing 6 NNPGs to political negotiation on equal footing.

"The invitation has come at the right time," it added .

NTC expressed its gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, "who has acknowledged the indispensability of the rest of NNPGs outside the ongoing dialogue and has become pivotal in giving rational treatment to every stake-holder" .

It also expressed its appreciation and thanks to RN Ravi, the interlocutor "who has tirelessly and determinedly" worked to bring everybody to the path of peace.

NTC stated that it "finds that the interlocutor is dependable as he remains firm and true to what he talks".

NTC also thanked all those people who have been "praying incessantly and sincerely worked for the desired process" .
