Ukhrul, July 24 2014: Even as 144 Cr.

PC prohibitory order clamped at Ukhrul town yet, sit in protest in progress and public curfew enforce at the town against the state government failure to attend the demand of the Ukhrul public for restoration of normalcy.

The Tangkhul civil society toward intensification and strengthening their demand today at four different locations of Ukhrul town, sit in protest was organized at Dungrei junction, Wino Bazar, Awontang bus terminus and LuiyainaoTang from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon subsequently public curfew was enforce from 12:30 to 1:30.All normal activities were suspended for an hour.

The protestor gathered at View land near the UBI bank, Ukhrul were disbursed by the police force without much contest and confrontation from the protestor.

There was not any reports of eventuality.

The attitude of provoking law and orders problem by deploying additional force and clamping 144 Cr.

PC even though, there is no law and orders problem, the district peaceful atmosphere has intentionally deterred, added the protestors.

The Ukhrul denizen still in apprehension and panicky for the additional deployment of state police force, baffle and worried about the promulgation of 144.Cr.Pc.Meanwhile, the combined team of police commando, IRB, MR and Ukhrul police led by DIG Range IV Kh Chandramani Singh as yeoman service for Ukhrulite, organized a social work at Phungreitang, Ukhrul at around 5:30 am, near Gandhi Chowk.

More than 100 arm personal took part in the social work, they filled up the potholes on the highway, depilated condition and water logging points of women vendors were also filled with soil and stone enabling them for easier in marketing.

The state government timely intervention to rescue and address the problem for amicable solution or may lent up to denser, engulfed into critical situation.
