National Institute of Technology Manipur kicked off its techno-cultural festival OUGRF 2017 at its Langol campus yesterday.
The grand inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof Naorem Khagendra Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University of Culture, Raj Kumar Lalit Singh, Registrar, NIT Manipur and Prof Sarungbam Birendra Singh, Director, NIT Manipur as presidium members.
The festival will include ISRO Expo which is being organized in collaboration with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
ISRO, for the first time in North East India, presented Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition at NIT Manipur.
Static panel related to remote sensing satellite, communication satellite and their applications, Chandrayaan & Mars Mission, models of camera of mars mission, satellite images, scale down model of PSLV and GSLV, models of INSAT, IRS, OCM, Aryabhatta, RISAT, Working models of orbiting satellite are being displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition will continue till March 25 while the fest will conclude on March 26 .
