Meinya regrets chaos in parliament, lauds LIC agents

Describing unruly scenes during parliamentary sessions as an affront against democratic principles, Inner Manipur Lok Sabha MP Dr Th Meinya Singh strongly mooted that every important issues that concerns the nation need to be discussed in a cordial manner for amicable and lasting solution.
Speaking as the chief guest at the 7th general council meeting of Life Insurance Agents' Federation of India, Silchar Divisional Council at JN Manipur Dance Academy today, Dr meinya expressed that there is no need for shouting at the Parliament for each and every member being a representative of the people could highlight their grievances with respect to the decorum of the parliament.

Conveying concern that of late Parliament sessions have lost invaluable hours due to some members resorting to clamorous vendetta against the Government policies, he opined that even though many of the issues brought to the notice of House are of national importance the manner of highlighting the problems amounts to inciting trouble outside the Parliament.
lauding service being rendered by Life Insurance Corporation agents for the people and calling upon the masses to support them in every possible way, the MP also assured to air plight of the LIC agents in the next Parliamentary session.
Apart from the chief guest releasing a souvenir called 'Frontier Forteen' to commemorate the occasion, review and approval of proceedings of the previous general council (6th) meeting, discussion on the Divisional Secretary's report for the last three years, presentation of audited statement of accounts of SDC, LIAFI for the same period, amendment commission/omission of the Council and related issues were the other highlight of the session.
Besides LIC agents, the meeting was also attended by LIAFI's Eastern Zonal president Ashis kumar Das and SDC's president Nilambar Singh.
