House mourns for Kumarjit

The members of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly session today mourned the demise of Ngangbam Kumarjit, who was an elected member to the 5th Manipur Legislative Assembly, along with observing two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The House also shared the grief and sorrow of the deceased family.
Speaker Th Lokeshwar moved the resolution in the House to mourn the demise of Ngangbam Kumarjit, who was elected to the 5th Manipur State Legislative Assembly from Thangmeiband A/C.Kumarjit passed away on February 18 last.
He was 65 .
Recalling the works done by late Ngangbam kumarjit during his tenure, leader of the House, Chief Minister O Ibobi said that Kumarjit held the post of Chairman of the State planning Board during 5th Manipur State Assembly.
He was a man of integrity.
He was involved in various student movements and agitations.
He was also the member of various organizations and got involve in various social activities and served for the welfare of the society.
The Chief Minister further stated that such persons should not only be respected and honoured by the august House, but also by the people of the state.
His demise is a great loss for the whole society.
Opposition leader MLA I Ibohalbi said that Ng Kumarjit was truly a selfless leader.
He had done a lot of work for the people of the state.
