Mt Zion College organises graduation ceremony / felicitation

The '1st Graduation ceremony cum felicitation programme' of Mt Zion College, Kathikho Karong was conducted on Friday to confer degrees/certificates to 35 students.
It was attended by L Dikho, Minister PHED, Printing & Stationery as chief guest and Prof Dr S Jibon Kumar Singh, Director College Development Council, Manipur University as the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Siba Lohrii, Principal, Mt Zion College stated that the college was affiliated to Manipur University and is located at the foothill of Kathikho Karong, near HH-2 giving a beautiful sight of the Barak River and surrounding hills, valley and villages.
While giving thanks to God for the memorable day, Dr Siba mentioned that the Mt Zion tree has borne its first fruits.
He thanked God for its blessings and lauded the parents and CSO leaders for their support to the college.

Dr Siba also expressed his gratitude to the teaching faculty for their hard work and efforts.
It may be mentioned that the management committee had earlier reportedly decided to award a sum of Rs 1 lakh to the top 10 students.
As part of the programme, Prof Dr S Jibon Kumar Singh handed over a cash prize to T Wilamsiliu of the Education department for securing 6th position in the BA examination conducted by Manipur University.
Dr S Jibon Kumar Singh extended his appreciation to the graduating students and their parents, faculty members and teaching staff for their contributions and efforts in bringing laurels to the institution.
While congratulating the management, teachers and students for the milestone achievement, L Dikho stated that the State Government is focused on promoting young minds in order to build a better future for all.
The Minister also urged the youths to cultivate leadership qualities and contribute towards the development of the State and the Nation at large.
Later, Rev H Akha, senior pastor Tungjoy Baptist Church, PNBA blessed the students with prayer.
