Meanwhile L Pishak, Director, Childline Bishnupur and Mala Lisham, Programme Officer, State Child Protection Society delivered lectures on the topics "Rising Number of Violence Against Women & Children and State's Accountability" and "Curbing of Gender Based Violence and Strengthening of Existing Mechanisms" respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Nonibala Narengbam, Director, WinG Thoubal highlighted the rising incidence of violence committed against women and children by their near and dear ones, adding that such cases have diluted the trust between family members and relatives.
