District level awareness cum training programme on PMMSY held

Kakching, December 18 2021: Laxmanrao Inamdaar National Academy for Cooperative Research and Development (LINAC) in association with Regional Training Centre, National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) Guwahati; Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fishery, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Chandel on Friday organised a District level awareness cum training programme on Pradhan Mantri Matasya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) at Chamdil Town Hall, Panchai village in Chandel district.

The awareness programme was attended by SDO Chandel, N Pritam Singh and NCDC Guwahati, Regional Director Sebastian Joseph as presidium members.

During the programme, KVK Chandel Assistant Chief Technical officer, Dr K Sonamani gave the keynote address while Directorate of Fisheries, Government of Manipur, Fishery Inspector Adim Gangmei spoke on 'PMMSY scheme and guidelines'.

CAU Imphal Deputy Director of Instruction, Dr Yumnam Bedajit also delivered a lecture on 'Fisheries and agriculture'; District Cooperative Office Chandel, M Surjit Singh on 'Cooperatives and Fishery in Chandel'; District Fishery Officer Chandel, K Jenishing Tarao on 'Status of Fishery in Chandel'; KVK Chandel Head, Dr Ashem Ameeta Devi on 'Experience as CBBO for FPO in Chandel'; and Sebastian Joseph on 'NCDC Schemes and guidelines'.

Diocesan Social Service Manipur director, Father Biju Lockose also spoke on the occasion.
