Tangkhul bodies condemn blast

The Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL) and Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (TMNL) strongly condemned the September 14 bomb explosion inside Royal Hotel in North AOC, Imphal area which claimed the live of an individual and left two others with serious injuries.
In a joint communique signed by its respective presidents, the three organisations demanded that the Government of Manipur immediately order an enquiry into the incident.
Terming the blast as an act of cowardice and viciously felonious, TKS president Yangmi Khapai expressed that the explosion testified that the State is facing serious security lapses which deserved to be viewed with all seriousness by the State Government.
Conveying that the blast victim namely R Thingchipem s/o (L) R Wungkatui of Paoyi (Peh) village in Ukhrul district was the only bread winner and left behind his wife and four minor children, the organisations demanded that the Government of Manipur provide ex-gratia to the victim's family as well as the two other injured persons.
On the otherhand, taking grim note of frequent incidents of bomb blast in the State, RKL president Isaac Mashangva said 'the dastardly act like bomb blast has always claimed the lives of innocent people and every section of the society should unite to fight such a crime' .
