Imphal, June 18 2019:
IPR Minister and State Government spokesman Th Biswajit has literally handed over the pursuit for leadership change to the BJP Central leadership.
Speaking to media persons at his Sanjenthong official residence this afternoon, Biswajit said, "Let the Centre decide whether there should be change of political leadership in the State or not".
He said that the BJP high command's decision on the matter would be final and binding.
Nonetheless, BJP MLAs went to Delhi recently to talk with the BJP high command so as to ensure that the coalition Government enjoys a more comfortable position, claimed the Government spokesman.
They also highlighted their grievances and wishes to the BJP high command.
Saying that he would always uphold BJP's principle and ideology, Biswajit pledged that he would never do anything which may sully BJP.

He decried MPCC president Gaikhangam's claim that BJP made all attempts to win the two Lok Sabha seats of the State by employing excessive money and muscle power.
The Congress leader made this assertion in the wake of the State Government's own admission that huge amounts were withdrawn from Works and Power Departments when the election model code of conduct was in force.
Reacting to Gaikhangam's remark that BJP-led coalition Government was caught in an internal power struggle and no development works were done, Biswajit asserted that there is no power struggle within the Government.
The common demand of Congress and BJP to hold fresh Lok Sabha polls in Manipur is baseless as BJP did not take recourse to any unfair means or malpractice in the Lok Sabha election, Biswajit said.
On the contrary, Congress party has been totally rejected by the people of Manipur as shown by election results of Outer Manipur PC and Inner Manipur PC.
It is rather unfortunate that Congress party instead of respecting people's mandate, attempted to project the voters in the wrong light, he remarked.
It would not be right for both Congress and CPI to speak or act without political maturity.
If Congress and CPI are saying that BJP employed money power and muscle power in the Lok Sabha election, they must produce documentary evidence, Biswajit demanded.
There is no rule which prohibits release of Government funds when election model code of conduct is in force.
There is no restriction on releasing funds for ongoing or completed works although no new sanctions should be made when the model code of conduct is in force, Biswajit contended.
