Boy dies of dengue in Moreh

Tengnoupal, June 17 2022:
One 9-year old boy died of dengue at T Tonglhang village in Moreh.
The boy received medical treatment for around 2 days at RIMS Hospital before succumbing to the viral infection.
A one-day awareness programme was also organised at T Tonglhang village under the supervision of State Health Society and National Borne Disease Control Program in this connection today.
Dr AR Chishti, State Malaria Officer; N Gopakishore, State IEC Consultant; L Keeranbala, State ME Consultant and other officials including the village chief were present at the awareness programme.
Addressing the gathering, Dr AR Chishti said that the boy had shown symptoms of TB and chicken pox, apart from testing positive for dengue.
Upon conducting a widespread inspection of the village households, mosquito eggs were detected in many water storage containers, he said.
