Imphal, March 17 2019: As detailed in the election schedule announced earlier, election notification for Outer Manipur PC would be issued tomorrow by DC/DEO who is also the Returning Officer of the particular Parliamentary Constituency.

Due notification for Inner Manipur PC would be issued on March 19.For Outer Manipur PC, nomination papers can be filed till March 25, scrutiny would be held on March 26 and March 28 has been fixed as the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers.

Outer Manipur PC would go to polls on April 11 and voting will begin from 7 am and it continue till 4 pm.

There are 4,93,597 male voters, 5,12,606 female voters, 11 third gender and 11,097 service voters in Outer Manipur PC.

Central paramilitary forces have started arriving and vehicles requisitioned for the first phase of Lok Sabha election have started moving from Imphal to different locations, informed a source.

On the other hand, Subodh Singh, Expenditure Observers for Assembly Constituencies of Imphal East and Imphal West districts has convened a meeting at Imphal West DC office complex (Kombirei Hall) tomorrow.

The meeting which would begin at 2 pm will discuss legal provisions about election expenditure and monitoring as well as instructions given by the Election Commission of India.

Imphal West SP, police nodal officers, Assistant Returning Officers, Assistant Expenditure Observers, nodal officers, team leaders of election expenditure monitoring teams and bank managers have been directed to attend the meeting without fail.

Subodh Singh has convened another meeting at the same venue at 10.30 am of March 20 with candidates, their election agents and representatives of political parties, added the source.
