Sahitya Seva Samiti Manipur celebrates 52nd foundation day

Kakching, January 15 2019: Sahitya Seva Samiti Manipur, Kakching has celebrated its 52nd foundation day and released its magazine 'Chumthang' today at its office premises at Kakching Chumnangpat.

Convenor Sahitya Akademi Manipuri Advisory Board Nongmaithem Kirankumar Singh, Khorirol Sandok Lup Wangjing president Tongbram Babulal and Sahitya Seva Samiti Manipur, Kakching president Yengkhom Kengba attended the event as presidium members.

Chandrashakhi Laishram Chumthang Sahitya Mana 2019 for poem was awarded to Kshetrimayum Brajamani Singh of Kongpal Naorem Leikai for his poem 'Khorjei Paiba' .

For short story, the award was given to Mayanglambam Kunjakesho Singh of Kakching Moirangthem Leikai for his story - "Aunpot" .

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 2000, shawl and citation.

Chandrashakhi Laishram Gold Medal in Literature 2019 was awarded to retired Principal Naorem Gandhar of Ayangbung Kakching.

Kshetrimayum Ongbi Nalinee Sahitya Mana 2019, sponsored by Sahitya Akademi Awardee Kshetri Bira, was awarded to Dr Kunjalal Yendrembam of Tarapur PWD Colony, Silchar, Cachar for his novel "Ibemhal" .

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000, shawl and citation.

Khsetri Chaoba Translation Award, which carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000, shawl and citation, was awarded to Professor Kangjam Ibohal Singh (IS Kangjam) of Naoremthong Imphal for "Ngaochatnaraba Laipok", a translation of Bishnu Pravakarna's "Awara Asiha" .

Chingkhu Moirang Leima Ningshing Kabirdas Mana 2019 (Rs 10,000, shawl and citation) was awarded to Gopeshwar Ougrithenba (Khangembam Gopeshwar Angom Salai) of Chandrakhong Maning Leikai for his poetry book - "Imagidamak".

Yendrembam Surlata Puruskar 2019 (Rs 10,000, shawl and citation) was awarded to Yengkhom Nilachandra Singh of Kakching Mayanglambam Pareng for his book (short story) "Masha amasung Mami" .

Yambem Mani Sahitya Mana 2019 (Rs 10,000, shawl and citation) was awarded to Nganthem Rabeichandra Singh of Heingang Mayai Leikai for his work "Phambak Lila Mari" .
