Mass awareness drive conducted

Committee on COVID-19 Manipur continued its mass awareness campaigns in different places to sensitise the street vendors about Covid preventive measures and the importance of adherence to Covid SOPs to curb the further spread of the virus.
The mass awareness campaign was led by chairman of the Committee, W Second and it was conducted at Konung Mamang, Andro Parking, Keithel Asangbi and the stretch of road starting from Uripok Cheirap Court till RIMS, said a press release by the committee.
During the campaign, the chairman stressed on the importance of strictly following the Covid appropriate behaviours and urged the street vendors to maintain social distancing, to sanitize their hands regularly and to wear face masks.
He also highlighted the need to get vaccinated to stay protected from the dreaded virus since there is no proper cure for COVID-19 at present.
The volunteers also distributed face masks and Ayush medicines to the street vendors with an aim to strengthen one's immune amid this crucial phase.
