Imphal, March 14 2016:
Highlighting the voices of dissension and polarisation among Congress MLAs for the post of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president, former MLA N Mangi has asserted that Congress party would vanish from the soil of Manipur after the next Manipur Legislative Assembly election.
Speaking at an enrolment programme of BJP at Torbung Bangla within Kumbi A/C today, N Mangi who joined BJP recently stated that Congress is losing its foothold in different parts of the country.
In Manipur, Congress MLAs have been polarised and some of them have raised their grievances to AICC president Sonia Gandhi.
Along with the disappearance of Congress party, MLA S Bira would also fade from public life.
He then questioned the incumbent MLA if he had done anything worthwhile for Kumbi A/C during the past four years.
He said he joined BJP as he was convinced that radical changes can be brought in Manipur under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He maintained that he left CPI and joined BJP in the interest of the people of Kumbi A/C .
