Mass Covid vaccination drive conducted widely

Mass Covid vaccination programmes were conducted at various places organised by many individuals and organisations with an aim to protect the people of the State from COVID-19 pandemic.
DMU
Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) and its five Constituent Colleges (viz DM College of Science, DM College of Arts, DM College of Commerce, GP Women's College & LMS Law College) organized a one day mass vaccination programme today at the Multipurpose Hall of DM College of Science to fight against COVID-19.A press release issued by Registrar of DMU informed that a total of 127 (one hundred and twenty seven) persons got vaccinated during the programme.
Also DMU extended gratitude to Th Kirankumar Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West for his kind initiatives towards the programme.

Kwakeithel
A mass Covid vaccination programme was organised by Brightway Club at its campus at Kwakeithel Lamdong today.
A press release by Brightway Club stated that around 478 (four hundred and seventy eight) were vaccinated in today's programme.
Titular king and MP of Rajya Sabha, Leishemba Sanajaoba also took the second dose of Covid vaccine in today's mass vaccination programme which was conducted by a team of health workers led by Dr Ngangbam Bony, added the statement.
President of Brightway Club, Heisnam Kipgen Mangang, secretary Thounaojam Shantikumar Meitei, Adhyakshya of Imphal West RK Taruni, pradhan of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Gram Panchayat, Kshetrimayum Romita Devi and SDC of Hiyangthang Hohoi Vaiphei were also present on the occasion.
It may be noted that Brightway Club, a member of Chingphu Road United Clubs Organisation (CRUCO), an apex body of 11 clubs which is working in co-ordination with All Manipur United Clubs Organisation have been taking up humanitarian activities within its jurisdiction amid the difficult time of COVID-19 pandemic and helped many locals to get vaccinated in various vaccination centres.
Lamlai
Bright Star Union Nongpok Kakaching and Oksu Ningthemcha Khul Youth Club jointly organised a mass Covid vaccination programme at Ibudhou Khamlangba Community Hall Nongpok Kakaching in Lamlai AC today under the aegis of pradhan of Nongren Chingnungkok Gram Panchayat, M Bilashini.
Around 122 persons were vaccinated in the mass vaccination programme.
Meanwhile, another mass Covid vaccination programme was held at Thumkhong Lairembi Community Hall at Oksu Ningthemcha Khul where 202 took the jab of Covid vaccine.
Speaking on the sidelines, M Bilashini said that mass vaccination programme was conducted under the supervision of District Administration and CMO in a bid to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic effectively and extended gratitude to all those who supported in the vaccination programme.
Khundrakpam
A mass Covid vaccination drive was conducted at Pangei Yangdong Ebudhou Tangja Lilha Pakhangba Community Hall in Khundrakpam AC under the aegis of Th Lokeshwar, MLA of Khundrakpam AC.
On the other hand, a mass Covid testing programme was conducted in Pukhao Phuju where 90 persons were tested, out of which 30 persons were found to be Covid positive.
Expressing concern over the high rate of Covid positive cases, Th Lokeshwar appealed to all to strictly follow the Covid SOPs and guidelines issued by the Health Advisory in order to contain the further spread of the pandemic.
