CADA organises awareness camp on COVID-19 at Bishnupur, Imphal

Imphal, July 13 2020:
Adhering to social distancing norm, Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA), Bishnupur District Committee and CADA Moirangkhunou Bazar jointly organised a one-day awareness programme on COVID-19 at Moirangkhunou Bazar, Bishnupur, today.
A press release issued by CADA said that the programme was organised to spread awareness on COVID-19 and to check stigmatization of returnees, frontline workers (doctor, nurse and police) by certain people.
Hijam Priyokumar, president CADA; Huiningsung- bam (o) Basanti, president, CADA Bishnupur District Committee and Phairembam Shyama, president, CADA Moirangkhunou Bazar Unit attended the programme as presidium members while Ningthoujam Doren, Vice president, CADA and Geetchandra Mangang, secretary-general, CADA were the resource persons.
Nongchup Imphal Palem Ima Apunba Lup (NIMPAL), Wangoi Branch; Young Development Union Club (YDUC) and CADA also conducted a similar awareness programme at Wangoi Bazar Community, said CADA.

At the event, Dr Ningthoujam Sushila, MO in Charge, Wangoi CHC, said that though there is no death case of COVID-19 in the State so far, people should not take this pandemic lightly as about 80 percent of people with coronavirus disease were asymptomatic.
