'Empowerment of Women through Legal Awareness' campaign held

Imphal, November 12 2021: As a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal East in collaboration with National Commissioner for Women & Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALS A) organized 'Empowerment of Women through Legal Awareness' on the topics- 'Legal rights of women provided under the statutes' and 'Legal rights vs Social Practice: Challenges and Way Forward' at the conference hall, ADR Building, Lamphel Court complex.

The programme was attended by RK Memcha MJS, District & Sessions Judge, Imphal East, N Lanleima MJS, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal East, Kimneingah Kipgen MJS, Civil Judge (Junior Division)/JMFC, Imphal East, K Binodini, President, All Manipur Lady Advocates Association, B Supriya (Advocate), Panel lawyer, DLSA, Imphal East and Th Premlata Devi (Advocate) spoke as resource persons, said a press release issued by DLSA, Imphal East.

Later an interactive session was also held and Panel lawyers of DLSA, Imphal East, PLVs of DLSA, Imphal East and ASHA workers of District Health Society, Imphal East, added the press release.
