ICM hostel building inaugurated

Minister of Social Welfare and Cooperation Nemcha Kipgen today inaugurated a newly constructed hostel building of Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Lamphel alongside the inauguration of cooperative/SHG products exhibition in the institute premises.
While delivering an inaugural speech, Minister Nemcha Kipgen stated that her Department will try its best to make Manipur a centre for cooperative institution in the North East India.
The Minister lauded ICM, Imphal for successfully rendering excellent services since its inception in 1988 and for developing cooperative movement and self employment programmes in the State by conducting various training programmes.
She further stated that the newly inaugurated 32-bedded hostel comprising of 16 rooms will be an added advantage to accommodate more number participants of any training programme which will be held in the institute.
She highlighted that the institute has been taking an active role in conducting training programmes for the Cooperative Department.
So far, ICM, Imphal has conducted more than 80 training programmes with over 3000 participants.
Minister Nemcha Kipgen urged the institute to further expand and work for the development of the cooperative movement in the State.
The inaugurated exhibition of cooperative/SHG products comprises of 25 stalls.
