Imphal, December 11 2024:
The Naharol Lamjing Meira (NLM) has submitted a memorandum to the president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Manipur, demanding disciplinary actions against the five BJP MLAs including two Cabinet Ministers under the provision of the constitution & rules of BJP in the interest of the Nation in general and Manipur State in particular.
In the memorandum submitted on Wednesday, NLM apprised the president of BJP Manipur about the prevailing situation of Manipur and hardships faced by the people due to the 18 months long conflict.
"It is a well known fact that violence provoked by the Chin-Kuki-Zo people since May 3, 2023, is a decade wise pre-plan which was converted into, action on May 3, 2023 epicentred at Churachandpur taking advantage of the so called Tribal Solidarity Rally for creation of their fantasized homeland Zalengam at the soil of Manipur", said NLM.
The NLM alleged that the ten Chin-Kuki-Zo MLAs including the five BJP MLAs namely Letpao Haokip (Minister), Nemcha Kipgen (Minister), Vungzagin Valte, Letzamang Haokip and Paolienlal Haokip have openly supported the illegal Chin-Kuki-Zo militants (narco terrorists) and demanded Separate Administration by issuing a press statement on May 12, 2023, adding fuel to the ongoing violence.
The NLM also recounted the statement made by Amit Shah, Union Home Minister in the Lok Sabha during August session of 2023 that the present violence is due to the illegal infiltration from Myanmar.
"In the meeting with the officials of the Home Ministry on October 15, 2024, they refused to talk with other Manipuri MLAs without the consent of their CSOs.
Recently NIA has reported that there is foreign hand and the violence may happen in Mizoram and also spread throughout the North East", it added.
Furthermore, the NLM mentioned that the five Chin-Kuki-Zo MLAs who belong to the BJP have allegedly violated the provisions of the "Constitution And Rules Bharatiya Janata Party" and are liable for disciplinary action under "Article XXV: DISCIPLINARY ACTION" .
