Imphal, May 08 2024: As observed across the globe, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Imphal East District Branch celebrated World Red Cross Day 2024 at the Conference Hall of Blood Bank, JNIMS, Porompat on the theme, "Keeping Humanity Alive" today.

It was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East & president IRCS Imphal East, Kh Diana Devi; Medical Officer in-charge, Blood Centre, JNIMS, Imphal, Dr Surjit Konsam; Art & Culture, Deputy Director, G Dharmadas Sharma and IRCS, Imphal East District Branch, chairman, Dr N Amulkumar as presidium members.

Moreover, with the theme, "Keeping Humanity Alive" and to uphold human dignity, alleviate suffering and extend assistance to people facing dire circumstances, IRCS, Imphal West District Branch celebrated World Red Cross Day 2024 at Home for Blind, Takyel by distributing edible items, reconstructing rooftop of the Home affected by the recent hailstorm.

IRCS Imphal West District Branch also conducted a Dental Camp at the Home for Blind, Takyel run by Welfare Association for the Blind Manipur.
