BJP political awareness programme held at Peh village

Ukhrul, December 06 2021: BJP Chingai Mandal on Monday organised a BJP Booth level political awareness programme at Peh Baptist Church Community hall, LCC Peh village.

The awareness programme began with a prayer by Aso Kapai, pastor Ngahurum Baptist Church, Peh village.

Speaking on the occasion, ex-MLA Dr Khashim Ruivah stressed on the need for every responsible citizen to understand electoral and revolutionary politics in order to bring a peaceful atmosphere during elections.

Dr Ruivah, BJP intending candidate for the upcoming Assembly election expressed his joy and stated that he was overwhelmed with the response of the Peh villagers.

"I'm confident that we will definitely triumph in the coming elections", he asserted.

While seeking blessing from the people of Chinga AC, Dr Ruivah also appealed to the public to give him one more chance to accomplish his vision for the development of Ukhrul District particularly Chingai AC.

M Bharot Singh, senior BJP leader urged the booth level leaders to start poll preparation work by enrolling the villagers in saffron party to ensure victory in the upcoming election.

The political awareness programme was attended by VAs, deacons, women & youth leaders, clan leaders, village advisors, VC, party workers and well wishers.

It may be mentioned that Dr Ruivah is pitted against former Deputy Speaker, MLA Preshaw Shimray and retired bureaucrat, Ningam Chamroy for the BJP ticket in the same constituency.
