Mass testing conducted at Mongsangei

Around 300 persons of Mongsangei and Langthabal, who came in contact with COVID-19 patients were tested today under the under the supervision of MLA of Naoriya Pangkhanglakpa Assembly Constituency, RK Anand; Imphal West DC and State Health Department today.
Inspecting the mass testing conducted at the office of Pillow Library, Mongsangei Mayai Leikai, RK Anand said that testing programme was conducted in view of the growing number COVID-19 cases in Mongsangei and Langthabal Areas with the assistance of Imphal West district Administration and State Health Department.
He also stressed on the importance of observation of SOP and safety guidelines issued by competent authorities to successfully beat the disease and make the Assembly segment a COVID-19 free zone.
He also thanked local clubs for assisting in conducting such drives.
Saying that timely testing and detection is a great tool to contain the spread of the contagion, he also warned all the likely severe consequences in case one disrespect the safety norms even if he or she tested negative for the virus today.
The former MLA also donated mask and hand sanitizer to the volunteers of Mongsangei Kanba Apunba Lup, who were assisting the health officials in conducting the mass testing exercise.
The lup also expressed gratitude to the former MLA for his concern for the people in such a crucial time and providing timely testing facility.
