The JAC against the murder of Ts Thongkhogin Haokip alias Ts Agin, an assistant teacher of Molnom Junior High School, has announced resumption of the indefinite bandh along Imphal-Moreh road starting midnight today.
The JAC is compelled to resume the indefinite bandh since the authority concerned failed to arrest the involved individuals within the stipulated time, JAC convenor Mangboi Haokip said in a statement.

In a statement, the JAC said that the involvement of NSCN-IM in the killing was very clear as the victim disclosed the identities of the culprits who assaulted him to his wife before he breathed his last.
The JAC said that the victim had told his wife that NSCN-IM cadres including one who hails from Aimol Satu were involved in the fatal assault which took place at 'Kargil Martyr residence' at Aimol Satu village.
The next day, the mob took the body along with them to Aimol Satu to demand the handover of the culprits.

The JAC added that no domestic animals of the village were killed by the mob as reported in the media.
It further clarified that the none of the mob members were armed as accused.
Had they carried any arms, they could have killed the armed men who opened indiscriminate gun fire against them, it said.
It also said that they were never instigated by any outfit.
Rather the mob marched to Aimol Satu with the intention to settle the matter peacefully.
The JAC appealed to all concerned not to make false and cheap allegations against the agitating mob and urged the concerned instead to hand over the accused persons to the Govt so that normalcy is restored in the area.
