Kangpokpi news centre in dire straits

Kangpokpi News Centre which was established with an aim to bring development and upgrade the living standard of Kangpokpi and its surrounding by Late.
Shri Loktongbam Gambhir Singh popularly known as Sir Gambhir in the year 2002 is now deteriorating its news distribution service due nonpayment of news fee by the subscribers for a very long period.
After the death of L.Gambhir Singh his cousin brother Nilo took charge of the news distributing service.
Speaking to the local media correspondent,.
Nilo, the cousin brother of (L) Gambhir, said, "Keeping in mind the vision of my dear brother, I kept running the news centre though I have faced lots of hardships.
But it's very unfortunate that I will not be able to run further since most of the news subscribers could not pay their subscription fees" .
"There are also many factors which I could not disclose for stopping the news centre.
I even got a big slap for asking news fee from one of the subscriber", recounted Nilo.
He further said, "I am very sorry to some aged subscribers who have paid the bill in time, understand my problems and encourage me to continue the service.
But I could not survive the centre only through their bill" .
On the other hand, Zalaileng News Service Centre would be launch very soon at Kangpokpi with a new system of subscribing in prepaid system.
