Kakching, November 30 2019: Sahitya Seva Samiti Manipur, Kakching has announced the winners of different awards it gives every year to writers.

Speaking to media persons at his home at Kakching Sumak Leikai, SSSM Kakching secretary Naorem Samarjit said that the awards will be given on 53rd foundation day of the Samiti on January 15, 2020.Award Sub-Committee chairman Kshetri Bira also informed the selected writers to submit their bio-data and one passport size photograph to the Samiti by December 20.Awards and selected writers:
Yambem Mani Sahitya Award (Drama/Essay) : Book- Mukshan Kanglon by Mayanglambam Kunjakesho of Kakching Moirangthem Leikai.

Translation Award: Book- Thabalgi Cheina (translation of Punjabi book - Ik Chhi Chanan Di) by Subram (Dev Singh) of Laishram Khul, Jiribon, Hailakandi, Assam.

Chingkhu Moirangleima Kabirdas Award (Poetry) : Leironnung by Koijam Shantibala of Kongba Bazar Imphal.

Kshetri Nalini Devi Memorial Award (award given to Manipuri writers settled in other States): Laakkani Amuk Hanna (poetry) by Tahir S of Cachar, Assam.

SSSM, Kakching president Yengkhom Kengba was also present during the press meet.
