SDSA prohibits morning walks and jogging in the wee hours

The district apex student body has announced prohibition of morning walk/jogging before 4:30 am and mass movement and group gathering around traffic point, Senapati and petrol pump from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am .
The Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) in a press statement appealed to all the residents of Senapati District Headquarter to maintain social decorum and avoid loitering around the District Headquarters at night.
"It has been come to notice that many boys and girls venture out to the street at wee hours of midnight and are involved in all sorts of unwarranted and immoral activities.
Such behaviors not only spoil one's life but also tarnish the reputation of the district and at the same time makes the place unsafe," it said.
"In this regard, with reference to the public complains and in view of health and safety and disturbance of the public tranquillity, certain restriction and prohibition has become necessary," it said.
With the prevailing situation due to COVID-19 pandemic, the State Government has also issued directions earlier thereby restricting activity during curfew hours from 6 pm to 5 am.
The student body appealed all the residents of Senapati District Headquarters to restraint from venturing outside at night except on emergency cases and requests all the parents and guardian to carefully supervise the conduct of their children and wards to avoid any untoward incident.
Anyone found loitering around and caught getting involved in unwanted and immoral activities at night after this warning are liable to be apprehended and befitting punishment to be taken up against them, it added.
