Governor La Ganesan has extended his wishes to the people of Manipur with the arrival of New Year 2022.Wishing everyone a Happy New Year, the Governor expressed hope for harmony, perfect peace and the resolve to work together.
He further expressed the wish for this coming year to be much better and more prosperous than all preceding years.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh also conveyed New Year greetings to the people.
Adding that New Year is always a time for reflection, he asserted that 2021 has been a year of progress coupled with landmark achievements where progress has been made in health, education, welfare and infrastructure sectors.
He urged the people to resolve, reaffirm and commit themselves towards building a peaceful, harmonious and prosperous Manipur.
Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker, Y Khemchand Singh sent New Year greetings to the people of the State with wishes for new hope, peace, prosperity, development and growth in the world.
With New Year 2022 bearing down on us, Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh also expressed hope that the new year would inspire everyone to grow towards peace, unity and development.
Consumer Affairs Minister Th Satyabrata Singh sent warm wishes to the people with the hope of renewed opportunities, resolution and promises coupled with good health, happiness, peace and prosperity to the State.
Tourism Minister Oinam Lukhoi Singh has also extended warm regards on the arrival of New Year 2022 and urged the people to keep their spirit and determination unshaken.
Former Deputy CM Gaikhangam Gangmei sent wishes for a New Year filled with peace, prosperity and development in all spheres for the State.
Several organisations have also joined in sending their well wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion.
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee president N Loken Singh prayed for the New Year to usher in peace, prosperity and development in all aspects and foster the bonds of brotherhood among different communities of the State.
Communist Party of India hoped for the New Year to bring in a period free of violence and crimes against women with more welfare and progress for the oppressed classes.
Kangleipak Students' Association also conveyed their greetings and wished for a healthy New Year for all and urged people to take proper precaution with regard to the pandemic.
All Manipur United Clubs Organisation extended their wishes to the different communities of the State and prayed for safety and protection from the new Covid variant.
