Oinam Kendra leader of the DPP, Oinam Bimola lashed out at former Chief Minister W Nipamacha for passing derogatory remarks against the people of Oinam and added that the former Chief Minister is trying to foment hatred amongst the people with just an eye on the votes.
Speaking at an emergency meeting of the DPP, Oinam Kendra at Oinam bazar today, Bimola said the utterances of Nipamacha during a political convention of the MNC at Ngaikhong yesterday was nothing but an attempt to drive a wedge between the people of Oinam and its adjoining areas.
The woman leader cautioned the people to be wary of such policies adopted by politicians for their narrow gains.
Bimola also asked the people not to be swayed by money power.
The June 18 uprising has already woken up the senses of the people, Bimola averred and continued that it is time to teach the selfish political leaders a good lesson or two.
Nilababu who contested in the last Assembly election from Oinam said that the present financial condition is due to the inept handling of affairs by the Nipamacha Ministry.
