AR conducts pulse polio immunization and medical camp

Imphal, January 30 2018:
As a part of the National aim of a Polio Free Country, IGAR (South) under command units organised a Pulse Polio immunisation campaign at various location.
12 Assam Rifles in association with PHC carried out Pulse Polio Immunization Programme at Tengnoupal, Khudengthabi, Sita, RRC and Shaibol villages, Tengnoupal district.
A total of 369 children were immunized on the occasion.
During the camp there was a healthy interaction between the villagers and the Assam Rifles troops.
In a similar endeavour, 26 Assam Rifles took active participation in proliferation of the aim, in service to the local populace.
Pulse Polio Drop administration kiosks were established by the Battalion at unit hospital, Chandrakhong and Phundrei villages, Thoubal district.
A total of 133 children were administered with polio drops.
In a another similar endeavour, 29 Assam Rifles organised a Pulse Polio immunisation campaign in remote villages of Battalion areas of responsibility in coordination with PHC, Chakpikarong for children below five years of age to curb menace of polio, a free med camp was organised on the sidelines to provide necessary medicinal aid to the needy.
This gesture by Assam Rifles was appreciated by one and all and will also go a long way in promoting peace and harmony between the locals and security forces in the years to come.
A total of 205 children were immunized.
