CSOs rally against drug abuse

Imphal, August 28 2022: The All Manipur United Clubs Organisation, All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association, Poirei Leimarol Apunba Meira Paibi Manipur and Manipuri Students Federation carried out a torch rally against drug abuse along Tidim road today evening.

The torch rally started from Tiddim Ground and culminated at the starting point after reaching Keishampat junction.

Speaking to the media on the sideline of the rally, AMUCO president Pheiroijam Nando Luwang said the State, despite having great potential both in terms of human and natural resources, is moving backward due to drugs, alcohol and substance abuse.

Abuse of drugs, alcohol and substance is the main cause of social crimes that have been rising in the State, he added.

He added that similar rallies will be carried out at different places in collaboration with like minded groups.
