Moaist said it will take action against private school on fee structures

Maoist Communist Party Manipur today warned the Imphal Valley Academy, a school at Ghari in Imphal, over failure to response to the party's request for consideration of the fee structures.
A statement by the Maoist Communist Party Manipur said that the outfit had placed a bomb to deter admissions and high fees as a warning to not only the school but all private schools.
The party stated that it had taken up the matter last February but since the response did not come the bomb was placed at the school.
Educational institutes established only for profit making would be fought bitterly the party stated while stating that the party had not placed any monetary demand on the educational institutes, the party informed stating that the placing of the bomb was the only measure that the party could resort to.
The Party announced that educational institutes including Imphal Valley Academy Ghari, Meci Academy Keisampat, Comet Academy Airport Road, Millennium Institute of Science, IPS-Singjamei and Heritage Convent Uripok have been ordered to close by the party.
Other educational institutes would also be ordered to close, the party stated.
Vans and staff of the educational institutes would have to bear responsibility after the party's order, the party stated while again stating that the admission fees and monthly fees were Rs.20,000 and Rs.2000 or more respectively.
