KYKL raising day held

The Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) celebrated its 27th raising day today, said the proscribed outfit today.
In a statement issued by its publicity and research secretary, A Yaiphaba, KYKL said the day was observed at its Central Headquarters and all units in Manipur and outside.
The observance this year was toned down in view of COVID-19 pandemic, it said.
The main observance was held at the CHQ, 1st Battalion in presence of Lt Col Ingba and KCP's 131 Bn CO Lt Punshiba as chief guest, 1st Bn CO Captain Dhana as president and KYKL Major Shanta, Captain Tamba and KCP's Lt Yaifaremba as guests of honour, said the outfit.
Lt Col Ingba hoisted the party and paid his respect to the 'martyrs' and revolutionary soldiers of WESEA.

Miyamgi Yawol Lanmi (MYL) Major Shanta presented Chairman N Oken's message on the occasion.
Lt Col Ingba talked about the struggle and conditions of the WESEA people and stressed on the Government of India's "divisive and oppressive policy towards the region".
Captain Dhana stressed on the importance of strengthening the revolutionary movement in the WESEA region by uniting all forces.
KCP's Lt Punshiba also talked about the need to unite all revolutionary forces in the WESEA region to face "India's colonial hegemony" .
KYKL's Captain Tamba stated that the outfit's journey so far is a result of the support, sweat and toil of all communities in the WESEA region and urged all to work towards bringing about a just Kangleipak, where there is equality, said the statement of the outfit.
