Deputy Speaker appeals residents of Mayang Imphal AC to get vaccinated

Imphal, May 24 2021: Deputy Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Kongkham Robindro appealed the residents of Mayang Imphal Assembly Constituency to get vaccinated at the earliest to protect oneself from COVID-19 pandemic.

He made the above statement while speaking to media persons during a Covid vaccination programme held at PHC Sekmaijin today.

He continued that the vaccination programme was organised by him in coordination with pradhan of Laphupat Tera Komlakhong Gram Panchayat, N Basanta mainly for those who are above 45 years and are engaged in fishing and allied activities in parts of Loktak Lake in Laphupat and Khordak.

He arranged the vehicles for easy commuting of the locals in order to get them vaccinated adhering to Covid SOPs and the locals were given proper awareness regarding the vaccination as well.

The Deputy Speaker also said that vaccination programmes will be organised in other places for the locals who are yet to receive the vaccine.

Stating that the vaccination for 18-44 years age group in Mayang Imphal A/C have also started and appealed to all to get vaccinated at the earliest in order to stay safe and protected and make the constituency a Corona free zone.

N Basanta stated that the vaccination programme is being conducted to protect the residents of Mayang Imphal A/C from the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic which have affected the State tremendously.

The Deputy Speaker also provided light refreshments to all those who came for the vaccination.
