120 Kgs of ganja seized from Lamlong Bazar

Altogether 120 Kgs of ganja worth about Rs one lakh in local market were seized by a team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB).
NAB OC Inspector RK Bikramjit said that the ganja consignment was being transported in an auto-rickshaw (MN-01Y/8796) when it was intercepted and seized by a team led by himself, from Lamlong Bazar at about 9.45 am yesterday.
The 120 Kgs of ganja were packed in five jute bags.
At the local (black) market, ganga is sold/bought at Rs 800 per Kg.
The price rises to Rs 2000 per Kg in the national market.
Auto-rickshaw driver Ngangom Ibomcha (35) s/o Iboyaima of Sekta Mayai Leikai has also been pulled up.
The auto-rickshaw belongs to one Ng Roben of the same locality.
A case has been registered for further investigation, said Inspector Bikramjit.
