A medical camp was organised at Kekru Naga village of Tamenglong district under the aegis of Senapati Brigade of Red Shield Division on March 19 .
A medical team of Tamenglong battalion led by RMO conducted the medical camp.
Medicines were given to the patients after examination, according to a statement issued by the PIB, Defence, Imphal.
A total of 243 patients were treated in which the people of Kekru Naga, Kekru Kuki, Nungthut, Kapinching and various villages came to avail the facilities.
The camp was organised from early morning till afternoon to enable patients to attend the camp who had come from far off villages, it said.
Meanwhile, Jwalamukhi Battalion on March 19 donated a water storage tank to Lairouching village of Senapati district.
The water storage facility will not only cater for the needs of household requirements but also augment the water supply system used for irrigation in the village, it said.
At the same time, troops of Senapati Garrison under the aegis of Red Shield Division successfully recovered a civil load carrier registration Number NL-07A 5738 at Khongnem village, Senapati district which skidded off the road and fell down the road side.
The vehicle belongs to the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and was on its way to Dimapur, statement informed.
