Imphal, April 20 2022: Even as two fresh Covid cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours from Imphal East and Ukhrul, at least four persons were discharged from Home Isolation (2) and Covid care facility (2), today.

However, 19 persons are reported as discharged only today and as such the total number of recovered cases is considered as 23 after reconciliation, said COVID-19 Common Control Room in a statement.

After this latest update, the total number of Covid cases has increased to 1,37,203 while the recovered cases stand at 1,35,049.The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent, as per the bulletin.

As the 2 new Covid cases were detected from among 298 samples, the single day positivity rate is 0.7 per cent which is marginally lower than 1 per cent updated yesterday.

No new Covid fatalities were reported in the period and as such the death toll remains unchanged at 2120 .

Altogether 487 Covid beds are vacant at JNIMS (299) and RIMS (188) as per the bulletin and one can dial 8837342527 (JNIMS) and 7005237591 (RIMS) for details.

Yesterday, the State distributed 133 D-type and 10 B-type oxygen cylinders to different health care facilities and administered 2392 Covid vaccine doses.

The total doses of Covid vaccine administered till April 19 is 2818199, as per the update from the COVID-19 Common Control Room.

In terms of vaccination coverage, the State has fully vaccinated 51.01 per cent of its eligible population while another 61.63 per cent have been partially vaccinated.
