ZUCAM V urges for peace

In an emergency meeting held today at Chingmeirong Rongmei village, Imphal, the Zeliangrong United Clubs' Association Manipur Valley (ZUCAMV) has appealed to all the sections of the society and the Government to bring a peaceful and amicable solution to the current situation.
In a press release, Lantanlung Golmei, gen secy of ZUCAMV, appealed to the people to maintain peaceful coexistence and communal harmony in the State and not to resort to violence.
The association appealed to the United Naga Council (UNC) to lift the indefinite blockade on the two National Highways taking the hardships of the people into consideration and work with the State Government towards an amicable solution at the earliest.
The association further appealed to both the Central and State Governments to bring about a peaceful solution to the prevailing issue.
The association also reaffirmed its resolution with regard to maintaining the territorial integrity of the State in the light of the Indo-Naga peace talks.
