Imphal, June 18 2011:
Guardians of 72 students who have passed class X examination under CBSE from Sainik School, Imphal but denied readmission by school authorities, have decided to lodge a complaint in the court for redressal.
Talking to mediapersons in this connection today, the aggrieved guardians informed that in all 134 students have passed in the class X examination, 2011-12 under CBSE from Sainik School, Imphal.
Out of the 134 students, the school authorities have given notice permitting readmission 62 students but the remaining 72 students have been denied readmission.
When the aggrieved guardians demanded an explanation from the principal of the school as to why readmission is being denied to students who have passed the examination from the school, the latter came up with a series of unreasonable charges against the students.
In addition to jeopardising the career of the students, such conduct smacks of a deliberate attempt to suppress the students who are the future pillars of the society, the aggrieved guardians asserted, while drawing the attention of the GOC of 57 mountain Division, who is the chairman of the school and the Chief Minister into the matter.
