Imphal, December 17 2012:
Appealing the authority concerned once again to revoke the transfer order of Chandel's DIET Principal, the Naga Students' Union Chandel (NSUC) reaffirmed and recommitted its stand to protect the interest of the students and the public by opposing tainted and corrupt officers in Chandel district.
In a statement, the NSUC warned that it would be constrained to take up its own course of action if the State Government turns a deaf ear to their plea and the State Govt should be held responsible for any outcome.
The NSUC said they were not against the transfer and posting of DIET Principal, but they are protesting the mid-term transfer and replacement of the incumbent principal by an allegedly 'tainted' and 'corrupted' officer.
Meanwhile, maintaining that the beneficiary lists of BRGF 2012-13 in Chandel is one-sided, the NSUC has also urged MP (Outer Manipur Parliamentary) Thangso Baite to review the beneficiary lists under BRGF 2012-13 .
In a memorandum addressed to the MP, NSUC general secretary, P Wango alleged that no Naga beneficiary has been included in the BRGF as per the latest report in respect of Chandel district.
As such, the NSUC urged the MP to review the lists at the earliest time possible for better co-operation and coordination among the different communities living in Chandel district.
