'Fit India Freedom Run 2.0' conducted at various places

Nehru Yuva Kendra Chandel in collaboration with District Administration Chandel and Wisecrabs-Chandel organized Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav- Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 on Saturday morning to spread the important message of fitness and good health.
Chandel Deputy Commissioner, Rajkumar Mayanglambam flagged off the run from Indoor Stadium Japhou Bazar to DC office complex Chandel, said a statement from NYK Chandel.
Ng Rameson Monsang, District Youth Officer, NYK Chandel; Th Joyshing, vice-president All Manipur Football Association and Dr Th Joyson, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Chandel also participated in the Fit India Run to encourage the youths.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajkumar Mayanglambam stressed that youths should be more conscious of the fitness and health of their body as they should not be over influenced by the technological devices we are using today.
"We should maintain balance between the impact of technology on our life with proper fitness measures, so that we are not a burden to the community and society.
Our fitness will be a blessing to the wellbeing of our society", he said.
Around 86 enthusiastic members including youths and 18 AR team Chandel took part in the event.
Affiliated youth clubs under NYK Chandel also carried out fit India Freedom Run simultaneously at their respective villages.
SENAPATI
The District Administration Senapati in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Senapati also organised Fit India Freedom Fit 2.0 at Mini Secretariat Complex today.
Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati encouraged the participants stating every individual must focus on one goal or target in the field of sports or education.
W Paulina Monsang, DD/OSD, NYK Senapati in her welcome address stated that maintaining fitness is the need of the hour while adding that the Freedom Run 2.0 will continue in the district and culminate on October 2.Altogether 146 youth took part in the run from Mini Secretariat Complex to ADC office.
Various youth bodies and students also participated in the run.
Similarly, in line with the observance of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', NSS volunteers of Asufii Christian Institute, Punanamei, Mao also organised 'Fit India Freedom Run'.
The marathon started from four different locations - Mao Gate, Punanamei, Rabunamei and Chowainu which ended at the SDO Office, Song Song block.
Speaking on the occasion, Duna Duo, SDO.Song Song block, highlighted the importance of physical fitness and congratulated the volunteers who took part in the Fit India freedom run.
Emeni, NSS volunteer while giving the vote of thanks, appreciated the SDO for his encouraging words and sponsoring the refreshment for the participants.
