Union MoS Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar visits RIMS

Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar visited RIMS along with Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh today.
Both the Ministers were received at a function held at Jubilee Hall, RIMS Imphal before attending a virtual meeting of the Health Ministers of different States from RIMS.
At the occasion, Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar said that India has been marching ahead in the field of health care service and has achieved a new height of excellence.
She said that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the able leader- ship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been able to eradicate multiple diseases.
She said that India is known as the world's pharmacy as the country supplies quality medicines at a lower cost.
To provide affordable quality health care to the masses is the vision of Prime Minister's Health for All programme, the Union MoS said and added that the Central Government has been able to defeat COVID-19 and more than 194 crore people have been vaccinated against the disease.
Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar also congratulated RIMS authority and staff for implementing many health schemes and programmes relating to the health care system.
Later the Ministerial team inspected different departments of RIMS.
The Union MoS also interacted with doctors, nurses and hospital staff.
Additional Chief Secretary V Vumlunmang, Director of Health Services Dr K Rajo Singh, RIMS Director Prof A Shanta Singh and Medical Superintendent of RIMS Prof N Sanjib Singh also took part in the programme.
