Former president of AMUCO KT Rahaman passes away

Imphal, February 12 2022: Former president and current advisor of AMUCO KT Rahaman (Oja Tami) has passed away today at his residence in Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai at around 3.20 pm today.

He was 57 .

KT Rahaman had suffered back to back strokes recently and had succumbed to complications arising out of his medical condition.

He is survived by his wife and 5 sons.

During his presidency, KT Rahaman had played an important role in consolidating various communities of the State and also in construction of the new building of AMUCO.

KT Rahaman was also monumental in bringing together the different observations of June 18 under AMUCO and UCM under a single roof.

As his passing away falls on the day AMUCO was founded, it has left the members of AMUCO in an utter sense of shock.

Members of AMUCO prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and also shared the grief of the bereaved family.

Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has also condoled the passing away of KT Rahaman.
