Imphal, December 11 2017: 11 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted lecture on 'Social Menace' at TM Zummonuam village, Tengnoupal District on 10 Dec 2017.A total of 53 villagers participated including 20 male 21 ladies and 12 children.

The villagers were briefed regarding prevalent social menace like drug abuse, consumption of alcohol, insurgency, illiteracy etc and were encouraged to educate themselves and their families regarding such social menace.

The participation of villagers was overwhelming and they displayed profound attentiveness in educating their children regarding moral values so that they restrain themselves from various social evils and establish virtuous moral conscience.

The villagers appreciated the kind gesture of Assam Rifle in addressing the issue concerning their welfare and well being.

All the villagers unanimously pledged to sturdily contest against social menace and ensure peace and prosperity.
