PM's talk goads meet on paddy cultivation

Imphal, April 11 2020: Chief Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu today presided a high level meeting and discussed about nullifying the impacts of the country-wide lockdown on paddy cultivation.

The meeting which was held after the Prime Minister held a video conference with Chief Ministers of States was attended by Administrative Secretaries and DGP LM Khaute, informed a source.

The meeting decided that Agriculture Department should take up all necessary measures so that the forthcoming paddy cultivation season is not wasted.

Other departments too should make plans so that they can discharge their duties as efficiently as possible, said another resolution of the meeting.

PHED was instructed to store sufficient volume of water at ISBT and Khuman Lampak.

At the same time, Health Department was directed to check the available stock of medical oxygen.

The Chief Secretary further instructed all officials who attended the meeting to download and instal Aarogya Setu App in their mobile phones.
