CorCom alleged the 'puppet' Government of Manipur (Kangleipak) for using the National Security Act (NSA) and Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), 1964 to silence the intellectuals, journalists and civilians who supports the cause of Manipur (Kangleipak).
The Indian Government has also tried to paint the revolutionary movement of the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) as otherwise to the world, added CorCom.
There is a need for wide publicity of the numerous human rights violation committed by the Indian Security forces including rape of women of Manipur and murder of a number of youths of the region, added the press release.
No legal actions have also been taken up against the personnel who were involved in such incidents.
Despite these, India has been projecting itself as one of the largest protector of Human Rights in the world.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights has encourage the people all over the world to thrive for independence and respecting the human rights for every one, however in a place like Manipur (Kangleipak) which was forcibly annexed to the Indian Union in 1949, the road towards freedom is a long road and a confusing one, CorCom added in the press release.
CorCom alleged the Indian Government of imposing various draconian laws to subdue the freedom struggle of the people.
Such struggle cannot be subdued by any force and the people will continue to strive for freedom, added the press release.
Despite having knowledge that violation of human rights is illegal, India continues to be indifferent towards the people who have been voicing for the same.
The countries of the world had tendered their signatures to the UDHR to uphold human rights in their respective countries, however, India has not repealed acts like AFSPA-1958, which has been put into place to terrorize the people and kill them at the whims of the security forces, added the press release.
The highest judicial body of India, the Supreme Court, despite knowing that AFSPA-1958 goes against the provisions of Article 13 of the Indian Constitution had said that the Parliament (Union Legislature) has the right and the ability to make such law, is a prime example of the people of WESEA being disregarded by India.
CorCom, in conclusion, said India will not easily give independence to Manipur (Kangleipak) and there is a need to further the freedom struggle with mass support in order to attain freedom and install a form of Government which best suits the land.
Such are the rights which have been approved by the United Nations as well.
Such rights will enable us to work towards making a self reliant economy, a content society and a good governance.
