Noney reels under heavy rain

Noney, August 08 2024: Following heavy downpour in the last many days, several houses in Noney district have been damaged besides cutting off inter-village roads.

Cracks have appeared and are threatening to pull apart at least 7 dwelling houses at Longmai Part I under Noney district while several inter-village roads which were blacktopped recently under PMGSY and HADP funding have been damaged.

An official team led by the SDC of Noney inspected the damaged houses and roads and the affected people have been shifted to a relief camp set up by the district administration.

Making things more uncomfortable for the people is the power cut since the last one week, which in turn has also snapped net connectivity.
